SALT COMPANY LEADERSHIP

Part of the Salt Company leadership team began as a band called ManOWar. Following the release of their "Anthology" record, they decided to change their name to The Bowlcuts, but didn't realize that bowlcuts weren't in at the time, and therefore the band broke up. (L-R: Danny Maland, Christopher Dean, Jake Umbriaco, Clint Roberts)
Following the Bowlcuts split, each went on to record several solo releases. Jake Umbriaco's debut, simply titled "Jake" went on to sell only a few records, but through it, Jake realized that his true color was red, therefore coming to the University of Utah to study and eventually meet his wife, Erin. Jake is the leader of the Salt Company.
Clint Roberts went on to release his debut, "Satan Has Been Paralyzed" which scored the attention of the Southern Baptist Convention, who believed he'd be the right man to go to Utah to start a church they wanted to call "Paralyzed Satan Evangelical." However, because of record label contracts, that name was trademarked, so the church became known simply as Summit, and meets at the IV House on Sunday at 10am.
Danny Maland, resident guitarist and sound guy, did a metal CD under the moniker "Devistatin' Dan" that established him not only as the coolest looking of the ex-Bowlcuts, but also the most fashionable. "Givin' You Da Sound" was his solo record and following it's release, Danny became the sound engineer for Salt Company and Summit. He's the guy in the back who gives us da sound.
Christopher Dean (aka Gino) had his debut reach #1 in Italy, and, while maintaining the pretty boy image, set his hopes on bigger and better things. In 2001 he became worship leader for the Salt Company and stepped won in 2004. He is now one of the percussionists and the webmaster for Salt Company. His wife, Becky, still hates this picture, and threatens to burn the record if she ever has to listen to it again.
Country Church is the worship team for the Salt Company. They came together under worship leader Tiffany Antioquia (seated) and is made up of (l-r) Aaron Davison (percussion), Jon Umbriaco (vocals) and Eric Reeves (bass). Occasionally Eric's wife, Amanda, will sing, and Gino (above) will play percussion.
